Sad day for Martins and Thompsons

Today was a sad day for the Martin family (our close friends in Australia) and ours...as we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Bonnie. She was everything anyone could want in a dog...faithful, loving, gentle, sweet...we will all miss her so much, but are so thankful to God for giving her to us for the time He did.

I thought I'd share these with you too...from Rachel and Amanda...

Visit & Camp

Here's a pic of Grandpa Mike meeting his grandson for the first time - actually the oldest living Thompson in our family with the youngest Thompson...great stuff!

Friday afternoon we all set off to Groot Marico for our annual church camp. The roads were so bad on the way, with more potholes than actual road...anyway, on the way there we witnessed a taxi accident...and all stopped to help. Thankfully there was only a driver in the taxi and we were able to phone the ambulance to pick him up. He had rolled onto a train track, a few meters from the road, and so the strong, muscular men from our church (heehee) rolled the taxi off the tracks - well done guys! God really protected us on the roads and we got there safely, albeit a few hours later than expected!

Leigh Robinson was our speaker...what a joy!!!

We all had a fabulous time bonding and learning and look forward to next year!! Start saving up guys!! R5 a week and you'll also be able to sponsor someone!!!

Jude's Baby Shower

In our church, every baby is celebrated, whether they are born to us naturally or come to us via other means...as with little Jude. Last week Saturday the ladies of the church threw a baby shower for me to celebrate Jude becoming part of our family as well as our church family. The ladies really went all out, and I was so blessed with so many blue boy things - what a blessing! Thank you so much ladies for your love towards us as a family, with the meals that were provided and with the many gifts which have really set us on course...here are some pics from Natasha's camera...

In traditional baby-shower fashion I was dressed up to look rediculous...

Thank you to Rachelle and Natasha for organizing the shower...and to their helpers...Candice, Zani, and I'm sure others...to Geraldine for doing a lovely devotional on having boys...and my responsibility as a mother in his life...and thank you to all the ladies who are such a blessing in my life!
